I wonder if someone could help

Is it possible to play an original game say Version 8.01 with Patch 8.02 or do you have to start a new game every time?

No mate, all the updates are save game compatable, so just keep playing as you were as the changes will have been made. If you are not sure if the patch has been installed properly, click the preferences button on the first screen and it should say which version you are using.

Noticed he's £1.1mill in the 8.02 patch instread of £150k to £190k in the original game

But is he still any good? I remember Cardenas and Niclas Millan became pants after FM2007's February patch.
