Default Question regarding strikers.

Firstly let me say I am gutted. I created a fantastic away tactic of 4-3-3 playing direct CA football. Unfortunately my hard drive went kaputt and I've lost all the tactics I had created so I'm having to start from scratch again. The problem I'm having is recreating the the movement of the strikers either side of the target man. I had the formation set up as

<-s TS s->

M M M

DL CB CB DR

The thing is I can't remember if I had the strikers either side of the TM mammark their opponents so they sat on the shoulders of the oppos backline ready to run into the space behind as the ball is played thru by the TM or if I just had them zonal mark. The thing is if the strikers are set to manmark, will they concentrate more on marking the oppos defenders rather than making telling runs. The team is set for attacking style of play with little creativity but the the strikers mentality is set as normal and the TM is little above defensive. I've tried lots of different settings but for the life of me I can't work out why they aren't making ground in behind the oppos defence anymore. Can someone clear up the question of whether or not your strikers should man mark to get close to the oppos backline?
