Sufc-Ownage is on a distinguished road
Default data editor.exe - Unable To Locate Component

http://img86.imageshack.us/my.php?im...orerrorij8.jpg

This is what happens when I try to launch the data editor, anyone have any idea why or what im doing wrong? Have not started a game yet as I want to fix the bugs with Defoe etc before starting but I can not launch the editor.

What game are you playing? Football Manager 2008
Have you installed a Patch? Yup, 8.0.2
What are your computer specs? Intel Pentium Dual Core Inside 1.8ghz // 1gb RAM // ATI R200 Gfx
What operating system are you using? Vista Ultimate
What leagues are you running? None yet
What were you doing when the game crashed? Trying to launch the editor
What was the 'game date' when the game crashed? N.A
Have you used the editor? Not Yet!
Have you downloaded and installed any third party skins/updates such as new commentary files? Nope

Would also like to point out that this is a fresh brand new install direct from the dvd. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the game but the same error occurs.

Help

There's about a million threads on here about the same thing. You would save yourself a lot of time by searching.

Nevertheless:

Google MSVCP71.dll and you will find several sites dedicated to hosting individual .dll files for people to download.

Download it and pop it in CWINDOWS\system or the equivalent. You may have to restart your pc then iirc. Thus your problem does disappear.
