Default Is It Time For "voice' commentary?

Well,we've seen the evolution of CM\FM and I'm wondering,if the next 'big step' shouldn't be voice commentary instead of text.I remember playing the earlier versions of CM and I wondered ' vow ,how great would it be to actually see the match, lo and behold CM4, wonderful 2D 'dots' running around the field,I was elated. Since then, to be honest I haven't had much to 'cheer about', but I do think, that, if there's something ,that would make me go 'VOW', it would definitely be ' Voice commentary'. What are your views, Guys and Gals out there?

Definetley not, at least IMO. I feel that the commentary in PES and FIFA is pretty poor and annoying so I couldn't bare the though of enduring it during FM.

Already been tried with the CM2 days, courtesy of Clive Tylesdsley.

... didn't really pick up really I guess, though I liked it, and personally, I think that maybe it could work now - maybe it could be done third party, like the researchers do...

a fan with a good voice could go to SI to do the sounds; saves money on the paying a professional..

Personally I'd like to hear Andy Gray or something, but at the end of the day with the way my life is, I'm sure with most others, its something that would be used 1/50 times.

Is it worth the development costs?

Probably Not.

As Lucas says, we've already had voice commentary years back. Personally I turn all sound off on FM but if there was a demand for voice commentary then there's no reason not to include it. It's already been proven it can be done but it would offer nothing to me.

The problem is, like most games that use voice commentary, it would get really repetitive.

I personally wouldn't want voice commentary in the game at all. But thats because I either watch tv programs or listen to music whilst playing.

I think the problem with this is that it could only be used if people watched the games in 'real time'. If you had highlights on at a fast speed for example it would be no use to have voice commentary.
