I do have another question.

The patch fixes for the match engine have different match v numbers.

What are these?
As they make changes to the match engine they give it different version numbers, so each new iteration of the match engine is given a new version number as it's constantly evolving. I'm pretty sure there's a more detailed explaination of this, including which version is being used in 8.0.2, in one of the 8.0.2 patch threads stickied in the general discussion forum. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Pretty much aye, especially when beta testing we can be testing 2 maybe more different versions at a time.

Yes its called using a 442

442 is the hardest formation to get working on FM due to the bias match engine, 442 just isn't favoured sadly. Even I struggle getting consistency with 442's unless I'm constantly tweaking. Which many people don't have the time for.

If you used a different formation you'd have a lot more success imo

So, you found this too!

Try typing in Cleon as your Forename and Surname on the manager screen. You then never lose!

Well you learn something new every day.

Thanks gents.

So, back to my defending problem. I'm stuck. There's not much on here about defending post patch.

I've even posted my tactics on here to no avail.

What do I do now???

Cleon: What would be really great to know (if possible) is what scale the engine uses to do its calculations. Does it use the 1-20 scale we see in the game or the 1-100 scale? Or something else?

The reason I ask is that I am trying to work out optimum training schedules (you've seen the other thread) and I need to know if I should stop training as soon as a player gets a point increase (which means he is sitting on a milestone) or if I can get a few more points on the 1-100 scale. I would only allow him to put more points on the 1-100 scale if they were used in the engine.

Hope I've made that clear enough.
