Has anyone noticed that a formation that worked with most teams in the previous patch has now stopped working?

On patch 8.0.1 I always played a variation of 4-4-2 diamond with the AMC dropping back into the vacent MC slot when my team was in possesion. I won lots with this including a career game with Salisbury City.

I started a new Man U game with the patch, and my first game I've lost to chelsea 4-0, and then shipped 3 goals away to Birmingham! Things have continued in this vein and I have not been able to arrest the slump. This tactc was fine before the patch!

Has anyone experianced the same problem?
