The Mid Season Slump - a Second Opinion
I have read with interest many of the posts on here regarding the Mid Season slump, it's causes and effects and the various ways of resolving it. Now, as far as i can tell the majority of these threads blame the tactics, i.e a re-evaluation of your team by the in-game AI in an attempt to crack out.
Whilst i believe this to be true i also believe the hidden 'Jadedness' stat starts to play a major part in a players effectiveness midway through the season. I have found it more difficult to ascertain when certain players are beginning to feel the effects of 'jadedness; in this version as they always seem to be %100 fit for most matches, however, i believe the dip in form may be a danger sign to look for.
I have done some testing on this although far from extensive and would therefore like some further opinions:
My testing consisted of replaying the series of 4 or 5 matches in which i had consistently bad results (but which on paper i should win easily) with NO first teamers at all, only back up players and youth. The results were, i won every game. Please note - no change in tactics at all, just a complete change of personnel.
Now, i do realise all this may sound fairly obvious - rotation policies and all that - but i do find it quite strange that my team of back up players and reserves can consistently win a series of games that my 'first' team cannot. Is this the effects of fatigue and the hidden 'jadedness' stat?
