Fabregas - We are hated
Gunners playmaker upset by club's treatment
| Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed his frustration after claiming that everybody is happy when the North Londoners are beaten.
The Spanish sensation has set the Premier League alight since his arrival from Barcelona, but admits he is disappointed by the treatment of his club from the footballing public.
The Gunners have gone five league games without a win and have relinquished a five-point lead at the top of the table to trail leaders Manchester United by six points.
The 20-year-old Spanish international has admitted his anguish at the reaction from the public on the back of Arsenal's recent run of defeats.
"I feel every time we lose or we don't play well it's like everybody's happy," Fabregas told the Sun.
"I still don't understand why everybody is against people who try to play nice football.
Belief
"We've been playing fantastic football. But it's true people like to see us lose - that's the way I feel."
Despite the deficit to United, the reigning Premier League champions still have to host the Gunners and travel to Stamford Bridge - giving Fabregas and his team-mates belief that the race is not over yet.
"If we want to win the league we cannot lose any more points - we have to think positive," said Fabregas.
"We have to believe we can do it. Whatever happened we fight to the end - that is what we are recognised for.
"We can change things. Man United have to go to Chelsea and we're going to Old Trafford to win.
"We can win there - we did it last season and we've done it a few times in recent years so why not this time.
"We have to go game by game. Every game is a final right until the end of the season."
| Awwwww. Bless.

Rep Power: 1 | Fergie "Tough for gunners" {Skysports} Quote:
Sir Alex Ferguson feels the upcoming triple-header with Liverpool could finish off Arsenal's faltering title bid.
The Gunners have blown a five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League and now languish six points behind leaders Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger's side face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals next month, with the ties sandwiching a domestic meeting between the two clubs.
And, following the second leg against Liverpool, Arsenal head to Old Trafford to round off a sequence of games which could ruin their title hopes, according to Ferguson.
Unlucky
The United boss said: "It is going to be so difficult for Arsenal to have to play three big matches against Liverpool in such a short space of time. It will definitely take a lot out of them.
"I plan to fly back after our game in Rome and watch that first Champions League game at the Emirates.
"It will be fascinating to see how those teams go at each other.
"Arsenal have been a bit unlucky to have fallen back in the title race. They were unfortunate with injuries to three key midfield men in Diaby, Rosicky and Denilson.
"That would stretch any team's resources."
Confident
Chelsea are now United's nearest pursuers and welcome the reigning champions to fortress Stamford Bridge at the end of April.
Ferguson added: "They have a good home record stretching back a long time, so will feel they are in a good position.
"I just feel there are some very interesting games ahead and I'm confident in my squad. We've got proven winners."

Rep Power: 1 | Keane wants to see bar raised {skysports} Quote:
Roy Keane insists he is happy to stay as Sunderland manager, but wants the club to match his ambitions.
The former Manchester United captain took charge at the Stadium of Light in August 2006 and led the club to promotion to the Premier League in his first season.
He is edging closer to keeping Sunderland in the top flight this term, but only has a further season left on his contract.
Keane intimated he would be willing to agree a new deal on Wearside and hopes the club's owners will help him to fulfil his aspirations for the Black Cats.
The Irishman told reporters: "I've got another year on my contract and am I happy at Sunderland? Very happy. But will I be here tomorrow? I don't know. I might die tonight.
Proper football club
"It's OK having a three-year deal, but I'll be into my third year next year.
"I understand the business side of it, I've got to manage the club upwards as well as downwards and people need to know where they stand.
"If we can stabilise, then people keep asking me: 'Do I want to carry the challenge forward?'
"But I have to ask the people who own the club the same question: 'Are we prepared to go to the next bar?' It works both ways.
"If I was ever to leave Sunderland then where would I go? There's not many bigger challenges. Sunderland are a proper football club."

Rep Power: 1 | Carrick eyes title dominance {skysports} Quote:
Michael Carrick believes Manchester United must prove they are a "great team" by continuing to win the Premier League year after year.
The defending champions have opened up a five-point lead over second placed Chelsea and are hoping to seal back-to-back titles for the first time since they won the league three seasons in a row from 1999-2001.
Proving a hard man to please, Carrick revealed success this season is just the start of what he wants to achieve in United colours.
"Winning the league again really proves what a good team you are," Carrick told the Daily Mirror.
History
"To win it on a one-off is a great achievement in itself, but if you can go two or maybe three years on the bounce then you are talking great teams.
"To win the Champions League is a dream and we're giving everything we can to do that, but to win the league twice is what great teams are made of.
"For winning the Champions League you go down in history and people remember you that little bit more, but for me the league is still very strong."
With the visit of Arsenal and a trip to Chelsea still awaiting Carrick and his team-mates - the England international can be forgiven for believing the title race is far from over.
Anything can happen
"With ourselves, Chelsea and Arsenal being pretty close, I can't really see one team pulling away," said Carrick.
"Sometimes, if there are just two teams involved, then one can falter easily enough and all of a sudden there becomes a gap.
"We've seen over the last four weeks that it's been up and down and that anything can happen, but I'm sure it will be tight.
"Chelsea are looking very strong so we can't count them out of it. What's going to be important are the matches when we play each other.
"Obviously, Arsenal coming up here and us going down to Chelsea are huge factors in where the league goes."
| Shut up you over rated nob-head.

Rep Power: 1 | Grant building for future {skysports} Quote:
Avram Grant has outlined his intention to add more flair to the Chelsea squad next season and insists he does not fear for his job.
When the Israeli replaced Jose Mourinho as manager last September, it was widely expected Grant would introduce a more adventurous style to Chelsea's game.
That has yet to be witnessed on a consistent basis, but the Blues boss is determined to make his team more appealing to the eye.
"We already have a very, very good team at Chelsea," Grant told the Daily Mail. "One that has a chance to win the championship and the Champions League this season.
"But we have to plan for the future as well and I want to add more flair to the team.
"I know Roman Abramovich will give us his full support if the right player becomes available. But if it is not possible to bring in a Messi or a Kaka we will try to find the next one."
Progressing
Though Grant's appointment as Mourinho's replacement has been continually questioned, he remains convinced he is the right man for the job.
He added: "I took over in a very difficult situation and I think people at the club understand that.
"I think they can see the team progressing and I'm not sure there is another manager who could have done a better job than me.
"I'm building for the future and I have no reason to think I will not be in charge next season.
"I don't need to speak to Roman about it. When I took the job he said: 'We are no longer friends because you are now my manager'. I will just continue to do my job."
| I think the pressure is building on Avram, and he is now just looking for a way to starve of the fans and media for a few more months. GET HIM OUT.

Or, they shouldn't expect to win every game, and kept Jose.
