Sven Goran Eriksson insists he is not feeling the pressure following Manchester City's recent run of results.

City have slipped down to ninth in the Premier League table after winning just three of their last 15 matches.

Reports have claimed that owner Thaksin Shinawatra is unhappy with the team's form and is ready to consider Eriksson's future, if there is no improvement before the end of the season.

But the Swede, who only took charge at City last summer, is confident he has the backing of his chairman as he looks to fulfil Thaksin's ambitions for the club.


Not happy

"I don't feel under pressure," said Eriksson in The Guardian.

"I feel pressure to get results, but if you're asking if I feel pressure from one person then, no, not a chance.

"I have worked with different chairmen and owners since 1979 and I don't feel pressure from it.

"The owner is not happy? I hope that's right. I don't have happy players here. I'm not happy. Nor are my coaching staff. That's normal when a team is not playing well.

"It's only two weeks ago that he [Thaksin] said that if we finished in the top 10 it would be a very good season."
