I'm lost completely. I don't normally fiddle with the C: drive.
Where do I put the DDT file I've made?

Do you have to start a new game in order for them to work?

You need to put the file in CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Fm 2008\data\db\(databsase name)\edt or My Documents\Sports Interactive\Fm 2008\data\db\(databsase name)\edt

Then you must start a new game for this to work. It also requires a large amount of RAM and a good processor should you want to load all players in the world.
