Anyway, it's not the chilli that does it, it's the tequila. Try drinking a bottle of Herradura and see what kind of league structure you come up with!

In my younger days I drank Cuervo Gold. Now As I have matured, :p (he says while posting on a game Forum) I drink Irish Whiskey (Tullamore Dew)

alas - drinking Cuervo might have given you some developmental problems, but I am glad you moved on!

You guys should've seen my graduation party - dang! The way the Tequila flowed, it seemed like a river...

I love tequila but all they carry here in Korea is the mixto junk like Cuervo Especial. Stuff will kill your brain cells and I don't have many left to spare. Only quality 100% Agave for me. Have to fly in my own Herradura.

2011-2012 Newington YC Northern Irish 2d Division

Media picked us 10th (one spot above relegation playoffs). Board wants us to be established firmly in the second division by end of two year contract with a safe mid-table position. Then give me some funds you nimrods. We get as high as 5th place early in the year but then tumble to last 2/3rds of the way thru the season. With three games to go, I am in last and facing relegation. :o In a fit of desparation, I ask the AssMan  to give me his best sarting 11 and go with his recommendation.

Facing Draperstown who are right above me in the table, Fat striker scores his 6th goal of the season in the 13th minute and then proceeds to not be able to hit water from a boat, but its no matter and we get only our 4th clean sheet of the season, winning 1-0. That puts us up to 11th and still in the relegation playoffs. Next up is a trip to 3rd place Ballymoney Utd. Fat STriker scores two first half goals and we hold off the third place Toon 2-0 with our first back to back clean sheets all season. We are now in 10th place, out of the relegation playoffs thanks to goal differential, :o Annagh come through with a 3-1 win and I dodge the relegation playoffs.
4 goals in three matches from Fat Striker leaves me wondering where he has been all year!!!! Board is unhappy with my check book and position in the table. I figure I have one more year to make them happy. But again--no funds makes it tough. I start to cast a wandering eye at the Blue Square League as well as the Western Hemisphere; but I will stick it out for another season. 6 players out on frees (no more suckers) . 2 players in including another starting quality (for me) GK. I also get in two loan players from Carrick, both of whom sign with me at the end of the season.

Very colorful update, hard to follow...
so I jump from face to face, kind of like "connect the dots"...
but glad to see you avoided relegation!
and yes, Herradura... good friends we are, indeed.

2012-2013 Newington YC Northern Irish 2d Division
Things started fast for us this season. After a 0:0 draw vs. Tandagree, Fat striker scored the first 2 of his 23 goals for the season to lead us to a surprising 3:0 win against our nemisis Tobermore Utd. Unfortunatly, that was the high water mark for the year and other than doing the double against Dergview (another pain in our backside usually), the year was a never ending roller coaster ride. We were never in danger of relegation, but closed the season LDL to finish at our lowest point all year: Ninth.

Board was satisfied with my performance and offerred me a two year contract with a raise to 300 per week. I asked for only one year as I am getting itchy feet and would like a higher profile job. The board granted my wish. They are grumbling however because we are hemmoragging cash despite my keeping the wage bill under budget.

Biggest surprise of the year was that my scout stumbled out of a Public House and accidently bumped into a GK who was upset with his plying time at Linfield. He turned out to be light years better than either of my first team GKs who weren't actually that bad. Just as my offer for him on a free was accepted, my Chairman accepted an offer of 50,000 from East Stirling for my starting GK. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. In my scout's case, I guess its better to be drunk than good. Total of 3 players in on frees and 9 out for 55,000.

I keep fighting off offers for Fat Striker and Captain AFC as well as a promising MC (the Prodigy). I did sell my starting MC for 5,000 to clear the way for the Prodigy.

Oh yeah...Cups Suck Arse. So does the bizarre Northern Ireland Calendar that has us only play seven matches between New Years Day and the end of the season in April.

To say 2013-2014 is with Newington YC would be an exaggeration. After the first friendly, in a pique of DMing, I applied for a couple of jobs in England and got sacked!!!! Spent the rest of the season on the dole as no one wanted to hire my sorry arse.
