Default First LLM update as a Pau paratrooper

Hello evrybody !

Well, I was lurking here regularly but never decided to try to write an update, lack of time et coetra, you know... Now I'm married so i got some more time
Even if I have played in the past on older versions of CM etc I'm by no way experimented. I usually play low leagues but this time I will try it the LLM way, feel free to correct me if I forget something about rules and guidelines, however I hope it will not be too bad.
Oh, and sorry for the 'bad' English ! By the way, it's a bit frustrating to not always understand your jokes there, I suppose there is a lot of 'private jokes' but I feel it's rather my lack of 'common' words.
Ok let's begin in France, this time I will not pay a visit to Franck, a bit intimidating for a first time... So I have choose the FC Pau.

2007/08 FC Pau - French National

Board expectation : Avoid relegation, ok will try that.
Transfer Budget : Good surprise there.
League end : 13th (of 20) P:38 W:13 D:7 L:18 F:52 A:68 GD:-16 Pts:46
Cup : Out first game...
Players In : 5 for 0 Euros
Players Out : 2 for 0 Euros
Player of the Year : My fantastic ST : 33 Apps, 29 Goals, Avg 7.36
Comment : Not so bad for my taste, the season get well but was cut in 3 'sub seasons' : Mostly wins and draws for the first part, 9 consecutive loses then, and mixed bag to finish the season. Cup was crap, but my only good ST was banging goals like a crazy all the season finishing with 29 goals !... Board was delighted. And I was happy... but unfortunatly the roots of the next season were established, no real renew of players, and look at the goals difference : -16... Let's see the next season !

Euro 2008 : Spain won against France 2-1

2008/09 FC Pau - French National

Board expectation : Avoid relegation, that seemed easy for me...
Transfer Budget : A good bunch of Euros, enought to buy a wonderwul villa on the Riviera
League end : 20th (of 20) P:38 W:5 D:1 L:32 F:29 A:85 GD:-56 Pts:16 Relegated !
Cup : Win 3 consecutives, 2 of them on penalties againsnt League 2 teams !
Players In : 11 for 32k Euros
Players Out : 3 for 1k Euros
Fan Player of the Year : A Senegalese AM Avg 6.85, he was the only one to seems to play football all the year at least.
Comment : Wow, that was a bad one, with my ex-fantastinc ST striking near nothing, (was he on 'strike' ??) and my defense being so bad, the results came logically and slowly, I was relegated very soon in the season but started to searching players in far too late in order to improve all fields of play. Despite the good Transfer Budget, I was unable to sign any 'decent' player. The only consolation was the wins agains the 'big' teams of League 2 in the cup... At the end of the season I was sure to be ejected but.. the board curiously wanted to give me a last chance... Will try my best I promise !

2009/10 FC Pau - French CFA-C

Board expectation : They seem to not await a lot of me, some sort of depressive state ?
Transfer Budget : More Euros ! This time I can buy a large loft in a midlle class part of Paris !
League end : 6th (of 18) P:34 W:20 D:7 L:7 F:63 A:40 GD:+23 Pts:101 Promoted ! (Yes even being 6th)
Cup : Crappy
Players In : 3 for 145k Euros
Players Out : 3 for 0k Euros
Fan Player of the Year : One of my ST starts to do things at least, banging 24 goals in 33 Apps.
Comment : Well the CFA while being unplayable from start is palyable if you got relegeted ! It's a difficult leage as there is only one promotion spot but 4 of relegation... And you find there a lot of rerserve teams of League 1 (Marseille etc...) which are full of star you can only stare at. The season was difficult as the reserve team being out of our reach (but they don't get promoted !) and we struggle against Gazélec and Fréjus being able only in the last turns to make the difference. Oh, and my scouts were 'stolen' by a rival ! Grrrr.. had to find new ones ! But now I have at least some decent players in each part of the stadium. Will it be suffisent to survive in National next year ? Will I get a new contract even with the promotion ? Will Carla will go with John even he's married with Jennifer ? All the answers in next update !

World Cup : Italy won against Spain on penalties aftert a boring match 0-0...

As far as I can remember, you can only play in the CFA if you have been relegated from the National. I could be wrong.

No, you're right. I never managed to be relegated in France(bragging ) Shame though, the CFA looks like a fun league.

CFA has become playable? Bugger, it wasn't when we had the zealot clan playing in France.
How come you can't start in it then?

Thanks for your welcome words evrybody, some people say it's a hostile place there, i cannot desagree more !

Well it's a bit of fun the stuff with the CFA, you still cannot start there, but once relegateted you may manage inside if you don't get sacked before. And you cannot apply for a job there . IIRC it wasn't working that way in FM 2006.

Are there other countries with leagues that you can select to be simulated from the beginning screen but you can't start in ? Maybe they had become playble too.

It was very curious to play cause of the big reserve teams you can almost never win against and that take the first 5 or 6 spots, depending of the groups (they are 4 diffrent). So finally you are in leagues with really more or less 12 real CFA clubs. It can be rather tight to survive as 25 % of those 12 will be relegated.
