I tried to put this in PSP/COMMON/FMH:

yet it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

its because you have not put free at the end of the sunderland players lines as that is how you release them, you have just put that they are to stay at sunderland. It should read:

"PLAYER""Ben" "Alnwick" "Sunderland" "" "" "" "" "" "free"

etc.

I tried that but it's now just giving me a generic squad.

youve got to use free at the end.

So the Buffon code doesnt work? if it doesnt thats your problem, as the edits will stop where ever there is an invalid code, try moving buffon to last and see what happens.

Did you use the editor for these?

Yes, I did it in the editor. I moved Buffon to last to no avail.

@ridley: It works upto the point where I try to add players to Sunderland.
@Ashley_Tofte: Putting it in /FMH has always worked before, but I'll give it a go.
