Rep Power: 10 Supporting: Chelsea Footballers: Gianfranco Zola, John Terry | Frank Lampard I felt the need to raise an alarm as it seems we might be on the pathway to shortchanging ourselves since the management are still caught up in the valley of decision as to whether to give Lampard an improved contract or not. it is unthinkable that we can even begin to consider this in view of the fact that this player has been almost indispensable to us in our last three trophy winning campaigns under Mr. Mourinho. Lampard may not be in same blistering form that took him to worldwide acclaim and made him the second best player in the world last season; he may not even possess the entertaining mesmerism often displayed by Ronaldinho: but the quality he brings to the side cannot be overemphasized. His known for insightful passing and being over and over again a match winner. he even scored the two goals that brought the premiership to Chelsea at Bolton two seasons ago. Talk of the games against Charlton and man. city and that one- two between him and Drogba in the fa cup final. over an over again he's stepped up and done the work of strikers. the 60 goals he's scored in the last three seasons, only bettered by henry and Drogba in all of the premier league and yet he's a midfielder. we need to give honor to whom it is due and i think Lampard in recent years has established himself as a Chelsea legend and chould get a more dignified treatment from the Chelsea management. consider how much he's labored in almost every Chelsea game of every season since he arrived. he deserves more. |
